Michael (Muk) Gunner has been doodling/illustrating on and off (mostly off) for around 30 years.
Most of his work has gone largely unseen outside of the punk/alternative/underground music communities...until now.
Obtaining a degree at Sydney College of the Arts in the early 2000's in electronic and temporal (time based) art, Michael spent a small amount of time exploring soundscapes and audio collages before returning to ink on paper roots.
Here, for the first time, you can see an number of his works collected together in one place, including some original artwork for gig flyers as well as some more recent works done especially for this exhibition.
Juliette Pascoe is a Sydney artist who has been painting most of her life. She began the Art Certificate at TAFE in 1981.
After raising a family, she returned to painting and has recently completed a short course at the National Art School.
She paints in the surreal lowbrow style, influenced largely by artists like Mark Ryden, Chet Zar and Chris Mars to name a few.
Creating imaginary worlds consisting of evil clowns and demonic creatures. Her paintings evoke childhood memories by depicting iconic Australian characters in a sinister underworld.
"I like to portray the dark side of humanity, what lies beneath. When your a child, you take everything at face value, it's such an illusion, until innocence is broken."
Opening night Thursday the 5th of November 6 - 9pm
