The mind of Harrison Earl is a manifestation of adolescent hobbies. Comic book artists and characters, heroes, heroines and villains from decade-past anime and a fair share of 90’s alternative rock music provide the context for the surrealist art of Harrison Earl.
"Black Rainbow" is an artistic dichotomy of the human form. The title of the project encapsulates each piece within the exhibition; the idea of opposition and contrast through a dreamlike vision. Through this, a singular recurring character will travel within artworks telling an interconnected, subjective story throughout the various dream states.
"Black Rainbow" forms a loose narrative, akin to a flashing series of hallucinations shrouded in obscurity, with recurring, out-of-this-world motifs. “Black Rainbow” is an exhibition with a totally different and unique concept to anything he has done before, with a focus on painting.
