Ayjay Solo Exhibition
Opening Night - 8th June 6-9pm
A showcase of artwork dedicated to the expression of the deepest corners of the imagination. Step into the mind of an emerging street artist and take a glimpse at his most experimental artistic extractions to date. The pieces that will be on display have been created with an organic intention with little interference from Ayjay. Artwork that has essentially created itself.
Anthony Jones, respectively known as Ayjay, is a self-taught street artist from the South Coast of NSW, Australia. With over 17 years artistic experience his practice typically involves the digital creation of vibrant, geometric like constructions which are then transferred through aerosol into large-scale murals or canvas artwork.
Ayjay strives to produce artwork of an organic nature following his artistic intuition. In an effort to communicate states of elevated consciousness through pixels and pigment, his inspiration lies beyond the veil.
Designer and painter of the largest street art mural on the South Coast (Dapto, NSW / 300m2+) Ayjay has applied his eye-catching artwork around the world in countries such as Vietnam, Thailand, and India. Some of his most adventurous installations to date include painting an entire domestic home and floating a cubby house on the water.
Ayjay’s background in art doesn't end here, currently standing as the creative director for Urban Art Australia. Founded by Ayjay in 2014, Urban Art Australia is now a leading provider of custom street art murals with both commercial and domestic applications. A business that was personally built from the ground up.
This is a rare opportunity to see an artist with such deep artistic roots and a relentless ambition to introduce a new flavour to the already sweetened street art scene.
