IV – A critical exploration of time, matter and space through the eyes of four Sydney-based artists.
Opening Night – Thursday 17th October 2019, 6-8pm
Clive Sheridan
“Highly collectible, intellectually insightful and precisely executed, Sheridan’s works consistently leave you wanting more.”
Sheridan has returned to Australia, the place he feels is his chosen homeland and where he believes the expansive landscapes and vibrant light will best illuminate his work
Jeremy Alaban
Alaban’s work is a marriage of painting and sculpture. His interrogations of city living using found objects and traditional painting methods become assemblages of his urban Darlinghurst landscape.
Mathew Grevink
A clear ‘sense of the serene’ surrounds Grevink’s mesmerising photographic works. Inspired by suprematism and constructivism, his interest in space, light and time is encapsulated in his current collection “Under a Neon Sky”.
Helen C-M
Helen breathes ‘new life’ into urban detritus in a new series of works of vibrant colour and delicate line. Sifting through the debris, C-M uses ‘the sh*t no-one wants’ to comment on the life lived, social behaviour and taboos, and the frailty of man.
