Head On Photo Festival 2020 presents the photographic art of Les Sharp.
An exhibition that celebrates the diversity and wonder of our world from landscape through events, wildlife, and portraits.
"I am a retired physicist who has photographed most of my life, interweaving photography with my scientific career that has extended over 40 years.
My fascination with photography started in the 1960s with the publication of the iconic image of a baboon in full flight turning to confront the chasing leopard. Today, the image still acts as a carrot on a stick, taunting me to achieve its standard with the taking of the next photograph. Combine this with the excitement of travel and the world becomes an amazing place, providing opportunity across the photographic genres of landscapes, cityscapes, events, portraits, and wildlife. I am an accredited professional photographer at the Australian Institute of Professional Photographers, and have spent 2019-2020 entering various international photographic competitions gaining numerous awards from gold through to honorable mention." - Les Sharp
The exhibition will be open to the public between 12 noon to 5 pm on weekdays and 11 am to 5 pm Saturday and Sunday.
