Join us at M2 Gallery for emerging artist and UNSWAD Graduate JAH aka. Judith Harvey’s first solo exhibition. JAH has been exhibiting since 2015, however, it is our pleasure to invite you to see an accumulation of four years of work.
"For five years I have been developing on my theorem, coining it ‘Visual Transposition’. The theorem establishes a relationship between music and visual modes. Its focus is forming a non-discursive language where screenprint methodology is the means to formulate a conversation between two creative spheres. I structured this discourse using each sphere’s fundamental framework. Here, I established a detailed taxonomical diagram aligning aspects of Music Theory with select Elements of Art and Design.
Exhibited will be the medium and method of Screen Printing, traditionally exhibited but contemporarily experienced. The uniqueness of each transposition is unlike most serigraphy aesthetics, each reveal a depth in printmaking techniques. My works display the extremity of experimental screen-printing using skills such as Split Fountains, Stencilling, Colour Overlay, Medium Overlay, Open-screen printing as well as, Mesh Count variation techniques. The experience of each screen print will outplay via installation."
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, viewers are required to bring their own listening devices to experience the dynamic nature of visual music.
