I used to think the bright lights and chaos of urban areas was my sanctuary. The only place I could create memorable images. Nowadays I long to escape the cement and sharp corners for greener pastures. Literally. There’s such a vast array of environments on our doorstep, it can be overwhelming just knowing where to start. I’ve been exploring the area code 2849 for a few years now and I haven’t even begun to scratch the surface.

2849 is a collection of images captured by Sydney artist and director Damon Cameron during the winter months of 2020 & 2021.
