Phases draws on the moon as a symbol of the feminine, cyclical renewal and the beauty of release. For centuries, the moon served as a guide for women, tracking menstrual cycles as well as emotional and psychological states. By recalling ancient cultures and their synchronisation to the lunar calendar, Grace’s work prompts reflection on how modern life disrupts ecological and biological rhythms, reflected in rising female health conditions and a deeper disconnection from mind, body and soul.

Grace Lustri is an emerging artist trained as an oil painter in Florence, her work is driven by a deep interest in philosophical and psychological themes. Her debut solo exhibition brings the celestial into intimate dialogue, exploring Carl Jung’s concept of individuation; the lifelong process of integrating all aspects of the self; both light and shadow sides. Each lunar phase with a female figure, marks the passages through self-integration. Here, the moon acts as both witness and mirror, illuminating one’s personal journey from detachment to change, healing, empowerment and rebirth.
