Intimate reflections of land and sea and sky...
Gabbi Lancaster’s debut exhibition explores interconnections with the natural world. The paintings are biomorphic impressions of the physical landscape and our inner dreamscapes.
The artist’s desire is that the audience will, even for an instant, be immersed, evoking feelings of unity and connection. This body of work represents the artist’s deep yearning for oneness.
Booderee National Park in Jervis Bay is a great source of inspiration, many visions and ideas channeled into these works originate there. This exhibition is a celebration of the joy and spiritual connection the artist feels at Booderee.
Gabbi paints with a spontaneous, energetic and intuitive approach, using layering techniques to achieve vibrancy depth and mystery.
